VGA Cable 15 Pin Male to 9 Pin Male cables is suited to older displays and equipment that still use a 9 pin display connection. The 15 pin VGA is still pretty much standard on most laptops, computers and monitors today, but the 9 pin is rarely used today.
Do not confuse the 9 pin connection with a 'serial' port connection that may be used by engineers on some modern LCD or plasma TV's! Serial port connections are not used for connectiong computers to displays!
