On new years eve I wanted to connect my MP3 player to my hi-fi for some background music for a dinner party. Easy enough - except my hi-fi only has one aux-in slot was was connected to a turntable. After much fiddling about in the hi-fi cabinet (with the aid of a mirror!) I managed to connect the MP3 player and all was well. That got me thinking that there must be a way of connecting both the turntable and the MP3 player to the single aux-in and having previously had excellent service from Cables & Leads I searched this site and found this little beauty. Together with some phono stereo audio cable (purchased at the same time) it works a treat and I now have the turntable permanently connected and an easily accessible cable to connect to my MP3 player when required.

As usual with Cables-Leads, this is a reasonably priced widget to solve a connection problem. I use it for copying selected content from my collection of old mono half-track 1/4-inch tape through a conventional stereo amp to Minidisc recorders, then ultimately on to CD via iMac.
