Further information about USB Cables
USB has grown in popularity in recent years, developed to be both fast and secure allowing a vast amount of data to be transferred along them. Since it's introduction it has seen a very fast uptake, as it has proven to be very easy to use and set up. There are so many differing devices that can and do use USB connections, some of the most common and widely used are printers, mice and keyboards.
A large number of external devices, mobile phone, cameras and MP3 & MP4 players use USB cables to transfer data to or from your computer. One downside, could be a problem for some users with using USB cables and that is the longer that they are, the slower the data transfer is. With that said, there are ways around this and a number of boosters and mains powered hubs, have been developed that amplify the signal, allowing you to run USB cables over a much longer distance, with the speed being much less of a problem.
