USB Car Charger, plugs in to 12v - 24vdc Cigarette Lighter to provide 2 x USB power points. Essential for all USB devices that can be charged or powered via USB. Most portable gadgets these days can be run or powered via USB, so to have a means to be able to charge from your vehicle or car allows you to keep your gadget running, while on the road.

Typical uses are for MP3 Players, USB Charging iPhones, iPods, Sat Navs that can be powered or charged via USB. Even some mobile phones can be charged via USB, so a in car USB car charger is a must have to keep your mobile phone fully charged.

Plus! This USB Car Charger has one USB port running at 2.1 amp, so it is capable of charging an iPad also! The iPad does require a higher than normal amperage to charge it, so beware of so called USB Car chargers that may only run at 1amp!

This USB Car charger does not come with any cables, usually the USB cable that came with your device will be sufficient to use, please consult your gadget or product manual for details. For iPods, we do a USB Dock Cable, see related items above that would also work with this USB Car Charger.

this was chosen specifically for the cigarette lighter socket which is close to the gear stick. Well made and short it does the job perfectly keeping all manner of gadgets charged up on our travels. has a nice red glow as well! (Posted on 12/09/2012)
