Splits 1 DVI port into 2, so the same image from a PC or Laptop can be shown on 2 displays, monitors or projectors at the same time.Note:
Both Monitors must be of the same resolution and all connections DVI. Will not work if a VGA adapter is used at all!

But I want to drag n' drop / extend my Desktop over 2 screens?
STOP! This cable will NOT allow you to have an extended desktop over 2 DVI monitors! You would have to consider a USB to DVI adapter to enable that, or of course to update your graphics card to a dual head output. Then Windows will recognise that you have an additional DVI port and apply it accordingly.

Q: I want to connect my HDTV, SkyPlus box and laptop together so that I can easily watch iPlayer on the TV. The TV has 1 DVI-I connector, the Sky box has an DVI-I connector and so does the laptop. Which sort of splitter cable do I need to achieve what I want without having to be constantly plugging/unplugging connections?

Your SKY Plus box has a DVI-I connection, really? Are you sure, because that would be a first if you have? Do you mean a HDMI by any chance? To watch BBC iPlay on your TV, you would simply connect your laptop to your TV. The SKY box would remain connected to your TV also. Not sure why you want to connect the SKY to the laptop?
