Further information about Phone Cables
Telecommunications and the phone industry have changed radically over the years, driven by the way that we now expect to use our phones and the phone cables we use to connect them. A lot of this has been due to the high demands put on them, by people using modems and modem cables to connect to the internet. As this ever evolving technology has developed, so has peoples expectations of what they want to use it for.
In those heady early days years ago, people had to use a old fashioned modem connecting to your standard phone line through a modem cable. As time has gone by people needed to transfer larger and larger files to and from the net, which lead to the need for faster digital connections. These new connections now use digital optical cables between your home and the exchange to offer these faster speeds.
Thankfully, nowadays the speed of the internet is vastly improved due to the high speed technologies of ADSL and Cable connections. Of course you are still required to connect to the internet through a modem via a modem cable of some description. Even if you are using wireless, the wireless router will still need Power Cables and a modem cable to allow the connection the net.
