Further information about Composite Video Cables
These composite video cables are designed to carry only an analogue video signal, similar to that which you would see through an old TV set. Popularity of composite cables has seen a down turn in recent times as newer faster, more secure video leads have been developed, to meet the demands of the digital age in which we now live.
Although there is not much new equipment being sold using Composite / RCA cables, there is plenty still in daily use and it is still quite popular to use them on computers, CCTV and camcorders etc. Plus there are many older gaming machines still in use, that use composite signals in some way. Due to the age of composite cables, there are not that many displays still available that allow the direct connection of them. This is where a good quality adapter to SCART is a popular choice.
Cables & Leads have strived to make the selection of the right video cables as easy as possible. If you have any doubt's about what cable you need, then please get in touch and one of our knowledgeable staff will offer you advise.
